“Three things jump out. 1. All of us spending Christmas Day at my parent’s house (who were married 70 years) enjoying each other and joyfully eating my mom’s apple pie. 2. My kids Shaun and Carrie hovering outside our bedroom door waiting quietly until we got up to run downstairs together. 3. Surfing on Christmas Day several years in a row with my older brother David at Salt Creek. One year David snapped his board in half, boy was he steamed. He got over it.”
